After years working in Queenstown tourism, I noticed something missing. Tourism businesses invest in hosting industry famils, while frontline staff recommend experiences to visitors every day. Yet there was no simple way to recognise those recommendations or see the value they created.
That sparked the idea for FAMIL.
What began as a way to track recommendations following hosted famils grew into something bigger: a tourism network connecting local businesses, tourism staff and visitors through trusted recommendations.
FAMIL makes it easy for visitors to discover experiences recommended by people who genuinely know the area, while giving businesses a way to recognise and measure the referrals they receive.
I built FAMIL because I believe the best tourism experiences start with a personal recommendation.
